President W. Woodruff

Salt Lake, City. Utah.

Dear Sir.

As you hold the great Priesthood
the key to the knowledge of your god,
for the Salvation of mankind, therefore
we must ask you with your counselors,
to answer these most important questions
which all men must know before eter-
nal life can be obtained.

We all believe the declaration of the
Apostle to be true, wherefore we realize
that there can be no eternal life without
knowing the true wise god, and his
son Jesus Christ whom he has sent. St
John 17 chap
.

And as the character of that god,
and that being Jesus Christ, which you

worship and is worshiped in Utah (be-
cause of the Seer Brigham young I cannot
be established by the written word of god,
then, we must rely entirely upon the li-
veng Oracles for facts relating to the—
worship of your god, and the redemption
of the Soul.

q - Can you because of your Priesthood say
that the Seer Brigham young is right,
if so,—the Utah Saints are the only ones
who will have eternal life. ? —

The seer B. young Speak as one having
great authority. Deseret Weekly No 1—
Dec 29. 1888.

q - Can you because of your Priesthood say
that Adam is the only god with whom
we have any thing to do. ?

q - Was this god (Adam) the Father of
Jesus Christ the Saviour of mankind
after the same maner as He was the
Father of Cain, and Abel?

q - Does Jesus Christ his son, become both
Father, and Son, on the same principle
as his Father Adam did, by having,
two wives, and children in this mortal
state. ?

q - Does this fulfill his saying "I, am the
Father, and the son." ?

q - Has the Prophet Brigham, and his
Brethren in the Priesthood, laid the
foundation for the kingdom of Jesus
Christ in Utah in which gods elect
can be saved, both the liveing and the
dead. ?

q - Can men have eternal life, that will
not do the will of Adams Son, Your
redeemer. ?

q - What principles is the Kingdom of
Christ devided from his church. Or is
the church, and Kingdom built up on the
same principles. ?

q - If the testimony of the seer Brig-
ham young concerning god, and his

son Jesus Christ, is not your testimony
who is his successors Seers, Apostles,
and revelaters, can then Brighams tes-
timony be true.

q - Is there any responsibility attached
to the testimony of one man?

Hoping you will answer these
questions, is my Sincere wish.

I, remain Yours respectfuly

L. Peterson.
