sad, whom the Lord has not made sad." [Ezekiel 13:22]
I am not wishing or intending to find fault with
any one—I have too many faults of my own, but I have
been led into this strain while thinking of our respected Dr Isaacson. I know him well and am a true friend
of his, as long as he continues firm in the faith of the Gospel. I have been made unhappy many times by hearing
him Slandered by those who ought to have encouraged
him. And not knowing what was true or what was false
I was very thankful for the oppurtunity to pay them a ten
days visit, and to my heartfelt satisfaction I found the
utter falsity of what I had heard. I found him and his
Noble Wife living in a atmosphere made pure by the
Spirit of the Gospel—beloved by the Saints by whom they
are surrounded. I have heard him plead with the Lord
for blessings on the heads of our Presidency and upon our
beloved Zion as no man could do that was not inspired
by the Spirit of God. I found cheerfulness, peace any [and] good-
will dwelling in his home, which made me very reluctant
to leave it, and I cannot say that I found anything to
condemn.
I have always thought there was something very
sad, whom the Lord has not made sad."
