KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS—That Ethan Kimball of the county of Orange,
and State of Vermont, has this day for and in consideration of the sum of Two Hundred
dollars in hand paid by Wilford Woodruff
of the County of Hancock and State of Illinois, bargained and sold unto the said Wilford
Woodruff a certain lot or piece of land lying and situated in
Kimball's addition to Nauvoo in said county and state last mentioned, as will more fully ap-
pear by refference to the plat of said addition, being lots No. 1 & 4 in block No. sixteen
in said addition to the Town of Nauvoo.

TO HAVE AND TO HOLD The above described lot or piece of land with all and singular the
appurtenances thereunto belonging to him the said Wilford Woodruff
his heirs and assigns forever.

And the said ETHAN KIMBALL for himself his heirs and assigns administrators and executors,
do warrant and forever defend the title of the lot or piece of land against every person or persons claim-
ing by, through, or under him in any manner whatsoever. or any other persons whatever

IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF He has hereunto set his name and affixed his seal this 26th
day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and
forty-four
