President Woodruff,

Dear Brother:

I have done as you said, I pre-
sented to President Clark, and to some of
the elders the questions that I presented to
you in my letter; But to my astonishment I
found my Brethrens faith, had change from
what it, was, when I were in Utah.

All your missionarys with whom I con-
versed told me as well as B. Clark, that we
must have a revelation from the Lord through
you P. Woodruff before we could act upon
the revelations given through the seer, Joseph
the martyr. Brother Brigham, told me
and B. Suhultz different from that in 1876.

This shows to me, that my Brethren in
Utah- have lost the Spirit of the work, of our
Lord, and Saviour Jesus Christ.

To believe that you—or eny other elder—
shall give us a revelation before we can act
upon the revelations which we have received from
Joseph the martyr, is a false faith—which
faith the Lord, have decreed to destroy, in an hour
we think not. The Lord give his Church a law
in 1831, saying that we must not receive the Teach-
ing of any that shall come before us as revelations -

or commandments; that we may know that
they are not of me—Saith the Lord. sec 43, D.C.

This evidence shows that any President
that have lead any portion of the latter day
saints, by his own revelation—that he is a servant
of the devil, And if you Apostles, and leading
elders do not destroyer this your faith Speedily,
it will destroy you from the face of the
earth. "The oracles are to be given to another—
even unto the church" sec 90, D.C.

Oracles means revelations of god—it
do not mean revelator.

This show that all those that shall be
saved must be the spokesman of the choice
seer; for what the Lord have brought forth by
his hand shall bring my people unto Salvation
saith the Lord. 2 bk of Nephi 2, b.m.

Therefore, if you my Brethren will not
repent from your corrupt doctrine, and move
forward according to the revelation given
in 1841, then you is rejected as a Church—your
baptisms for the dead, by those who are scat-
tered abroad are not acceptable unto me, saith
the Lord." (refers to your progenitors who are
dead) "for it is ordained that in Zion, sec.
115; and her Stakes, sec 116: and in Jerusalem,
sec 84. D.C." those places which I have appointed
for refuge, shall be the places for you baptisms
for your dead, saith the Lord. sec. 124, v 32 to 37, D.C.

Elijah is to come, and Israel of
god gathered; Zion built up; and a Temple
built; the order of Enoch established; then,
Messiah come to his Temple; while, the
tares being bound over by the present seer
and revelators—by the order of unequality;
those, first being delivered over unto the buf-
feting of Satan; they, are left in darkness
and delivered over unto the day of burning,
to fulfill the saying of the Savior; recorded in
13 ch. of Matthew.

I wish all my brethren were true to
our god, and honest to themselves, and to
all men.

Your humble Brother!

L. Peterson.

P.S. The 3rd and 4th vs. of sec 59 has begun to
be fulfilled. D.C. Therefore, as the Lord speaketh
he will also fulfill.

All churches of latter day Saints, that
are now found to have apostatized from the
law of consecration which he has given;
they, shall be cut asunder—and their portion
shall be appointed them—among unbelievers,
where are wailing and gnashing of teeth.
sec 85, D.C.

If you Preseident Woodruff, have
faith, to let your elders laber with me—to

of Jesus Christ, and follows after
the dictates of your own will
and carnal desires, you are fallen.
