Dear Brother

Your letter of April 11th informing me
that I have been called as a Missionary to
great Britain was duly received, my feelings
in regard to this call are nothing but good, and
I have no desire to shrink from any duty which
the Servants of the Lord require of me. I will
state my circumstances to you, not as an excuse to
be released, but to make you acquainted with the
Condition of my family which will enable you to Judge
for yourself, and your advice will meet with my
approval. I am 47 years of age, have a family of Ten
to support eight children ages from 5 to 23 all girls but
two, with 15 acres of land to support them, in connection with
this i have been hired to superentend the Co-operative
Meat Market here for the last 12 years which has helped
to make up the deficency take this away and my family
would lack, but still if you wish me to go I shall put
all other considerations to one side and leave my family
in the hands of the Lord, and be ready April 30th as
requested.

Your most humble and obeident servant
in the Gospel of Christ, Abraham Fawson

P.S. Please send an early reply, as the time is very short
