    March 6, 1835 ~ Friday March ^6th^ Spent the day in labouring & writing a letter to my Parents. I had a view in this place of some dangerous reptiles which was two Sandapeads [centipedes] and three Terrantiallers Their touch upon human flesh is considered immediate death[.] the Arkansaw abound with them esspecially among the rocks March 7, 1835 ~ Saturday 7.
