Alma Helaman Hale (1836-1908) was born 24 Apr. 1836 in Bradford, Essex Co., Massachusetts. He was the son of Jonathan Harriman Hale and Olive Boynton. He married Sarah Elizabeth Walker on 14 Apr. 1856 in Grantsville, Tooele Co., Utah Territory; widowed 21 May 1861. He married Sarah Ann Clark on 24 Dec. 1861; participated in plural marriage. He was baptized 24 Apr. 1844. He hosted Wilford Woodruff overnight on 4 Sep. 1868, and he was mentioned in a letter written to Wilford Woodruff in 1856. He died 30 Mar. 1908 in Logan, Cache Co., Utah.
