George Halliday
George Halliday (1823-1900) was born 17 Apr. 1823 in Trowbridge, Wiltshire, England. He was the son of Stephen Halliday and Jane Watts. He married Mary Ann Case on 1 Apr. 1844 in Trowbridge; widowed 13 May 1845. He married Sarah Kendall on 4 Oct. 1847 in Birmingham, Warwickshire, England; participated in plural marriage. He was baptized 10 Nov. 1844 in Wiltshire, England. He was Wilford Woodruff's associate from 1854 to 1898, much of that time serving as a Bishop. He died 17 May 1900 in Santaquin, Utah Co., Utah.
