Jacob Gibson

Jacob Gibson (1814-1882) was born 1 Jan. 1814 in Chester Co., Pennsylvania. He was the son of Jacob Gibson and Jane Elizabeth Brush. He married Hannah G. Smith about 1838; widowed 31 Mar. 1841. He married Mary J. Point in Dec. 1842; widowed 12 May 1847. He married Sarah Brower Beitler on 20 Apr. 1848; participated in plural marriage. He was baptized 14 Sep. 1840 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia Co., Pennsylvania. He corresponded and met with Wilford Woodruff from 1848 to 1882. He died 1 May 1882 in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake Co., Utah Territory, and Wilford Woodruff spoke at his funeral.
