Jesse Nathaniel Smith

Jesse Nathaniel Smith (1834-1906) was born 2 Dec. 1834 in Stockholm, St. Lawrence Co., New York. He was the son of Silas Smith and Mary Aikens. He married Emma Seraphine West on 13 May 1852 in Parowan, Iron Co., Utah Territory; participated in plural marriage. He was baptized 13 Aug. 1843. He spoke at church meetings that Wilford Woodruff attended between 1864 and 1889, and he corresponded with Wilford Woodruff regularly on the affairs of the Church in the Snowflake Stake in Arizona Territory. He died 5 Jun. 1906 in Snowflake, Navajo Co., Arizona Territory.
