Lorenzo Dow Young

Lorenzo Dow Young (1807-1895) was born 19 Oct. 1807 in Smyrna, Chenango Co., New York. He was the son of John Young and Abigail (Nabby) Howe. He married Persis Goodall on 6 Jun. 1826; participated in plural marriage. He was baptized in 1832. He and Wilford Woodruff were shareholders in the Kirtland Safety Society; lived in Nauvoo, Hancock Co., Illinois; and arrived in Great Salt Lake City, Great Salt Lake Co., Utah Territory in Jul. 1847. He died 21 Nov. 1895 in Salt Lake City.
