Mary Ann Angell Young

Mary Ann Angell Young (1803-1882) was born 8 Jun. 1803 in Pawtucket, Providence Co., Rhode Island. She was the daughter of James W. Angell and Phebe Morton. She married Brigham Young about Feb. 1834 in Geauga Co., Ohio, and they had six children. She was baptized about 1832 in Avon, Livingston Co., New York. She was frequently in contact with Wilford and Phebe Woodruff in person and by letter from 1839 to 1882. She died 27 Jun. 1882 in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake Co., Utah Territory, and Wilford Woodruff spoke at her funeral.
