Phineas Howe Young

Phineas Howe Young (1799-1879) was born 16 Feb. 1799 in Hopkinton, Middlesex Co., Massachusetts. He was the son of John Hayden Young and Nabe How. He married Clarissa Hamilton about 1818; widowed 6 Jun. 1834. He married Lucy Cowdery about Sep. 1834 in Geauga Co., Ohio; participated in plural marriage. He was baptized 5 Apr. 1832. He traveled across the plains to Utah Territory with Wilford Woodruff in 1847. He died 10 Oct. 1879 in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake Co., Utah Territory.
