Sarah Benbow

Benbow, Sarah Homes (Holmes), (1818 - 1874), was born 8 Oct. 1818 Bosbury, Munsley, Herefordshire, England. She was the daughter of Robert Homes and Margaret Derry. She was baptized on 8 Mar. 1840 by Wilford Woodruff. She immigrated to America and married Thomas Benbow in Nauvoo, Hancock Cty, Illinois on 10 Feb. 1845. They were the parents to five children who lived to adulthood. They migrated to the Great Salt Lake Territory arriving on 21 Jun. 1847. Sarah died in October 1874 in Washington, Alameda County, California.
