Solomon Copeland

Solomon Copeland (1799-abt. 1843) was born in 1799 in Sumner Co., Tennessee. He was the son of Stephen Copeland. He married Sara Tippett. He and his family were taught by Wilford Woodruff in 1836 in Tennessee, and Wilford wrote to Solomon in Mar. 1844 to invite him to consider becoming Joseph Smith's running mate as the vice-presidential candidate. He died between May 1843 and Jul. 1845.
