Prest. Wilford Woodruff.

Dear Brother:

Brother Erick P.
Erickson
who was called on a
mission to Europe one year ago,
has been preparing to go ever since
the call came, saved his money and
placed it in the Bank for safe keeping,
but some time this last Spring he
took a severe cold, and it has turned
to the Dispepsia, and has kept him
feeling very poorly all the Summer
and still is very poorly.

He came to me this last week
and told me that he thought he would
start anyhow & if he continued poorly
he could return again, but I tell him
that him that we had better hear from
you first, as it would not be best for

him to go without counsel.

I really think him unfit to start
out in his present condition. he is
a real good man and will never
feel satisfied until his mission is filled,
if it takes 5 years to do it, and we
have plenty of good strong healthy
men that can go if you need them.
please drop me a few lines & let me
know what is best for him to do, as
he is very anxious.

Let him be ex-
cused until his health returns. J. F. S.

We also have a young man
who returned from a mission from
the Southern States last Spring, after
filling and excellent mission and
returned home with an excellent
character from the President of
the Mission. when released he
was compelled to borrow the money
$65.00 to bring him home, he called
on me the other Day and wished
to write and ask you if this money

cannot be furnished him by the
Church so that he can return it
to the person who loaned it to him.

Awaiting your Answer

I am your Brother as ever,

Geo L. Farrell

P.S. his name is William Done
a cousin to Prof Willard Done, and
is one of the young men who was
so unmercifully whipped with a
Buggy tug while on his mission.

G. L. F.

He should have the cost
of his [Rig] fare home re-
turned to him. Please
see that the proper am[oun]t.
be sent, with the explana
tion that we only pay
the return fares of the
Elders. J. F. S.
