Wilford Woodruff,

Salt Lake City.

Dear Brother: Your letter, in
in which I was requested to go on a
mission to Great Britain next August, was
received in due time and contents noted.
In reply to your letter I would say that
I am pleased to find that I have been counted
worthy of a mission, but on account of having
started on a course in college I think it
would be best for me to finish before going
on a mission. If you wish me to go
in one year from the date named in your
letter I will try to go and do my duty.

Hoping this will meet your mind, I remain
your Brother in the Gospel,

Fred Atkinson Jr.

President Woodruff Dear Bro, it is my feelings that
