Brother James in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ
and by virture of the holy priesthood we lay our hands upon
your head and we set you apart unto this ^mission^ that has been appoin-
ted you by the servants of the Lord, and we pray God to
pour out upon you the gift and power of the holy ghost, and
the spirit of that priesthood which has been sealed upon you
by the servants of the most high. We pray that thou mayst
prosper and be blessed in thy ministry and be the means of
bringing very many to the knowledge of the truth, and we
seal these blessings upon thy head, and we say thout shalt
be blessed abundantly, and thou shalt be the means of
brining many of the Lamanites to know the Lord, yea
thou shall have influence to convert them and save them
from many errors that they may be brought to know the
Gospel of Jesus Christ; and they shall become acquainted
sufficiently with the mind of the Lord to bring forth
fruit to his honor and glory. And you shall be prospered in
all your endeavors to do good. And inasmuch as your will
be faithful you shall be warned by dreams, visions and by
the inspiration of the comforter, and you shall speak forth
