Payson Prest Woodruff Dear Brother Your letter of the 28th ult. came duly to hand stating that my name had been Suggested and accepted as a Missionary to Great Britain If my health would warrant I would take great pleasure in performing a mission in preaching the Gospel in my native country. My health has been failing for some time and it is with great care that I preserve my strength to attend to my labors in the Ward. Pres., Wilford Woodruff, Salt Lake City, Dear Bro., Your letter of enquiry was recieved on the 4th inst., and can say in reply, if it is the will of the Lord and your wish and desire for me and my wife to take a mission to the "Laie Plantation" we will go and do the best we can. We have just recently commenced house keep ing and our circumstances are not the best but we will trust in the Lord. Bro. Woodruff, we would like to know, if con- venient, when you want us to leave, as we have got to buy furnature &c if we remain, and our expenses will have to be made as lite as possible.

President Wilfred Woodruff, Salt Lake City, Utah- Dear Sir: As Special Agent of the Eleventh Census for the gathering of religious statistics, I desire to make a full and correct return of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Our method in other denominations is to gather the statistics by conferences or presbyteries or associations. I understand that the Church of which you are president is divided into stakes. I should be glad if you would indicate who is the proper person in each stake to gather information respecting Mormon organizations within the bounds of his district. I have prepared schedules for this purpose, a copy of which I enclose to you for your information, in order that you may see what is the scope of the inquiry.
