Dear Sir: I send you, via this mail, a copy of the prospectus of the Nevada Creek Placer Mines of Montana, which I would be pleased to have you, carefully, read, especially, Prof. G. C. Swallow's report on pages one to seven, and his supplementary report on page twelve. I have arranged with J. W. Bailey, Vice Pres't., & W. B. Salt Lake, . President Wilford Woodruff, Salt Lake City, Utah. Dear Sir: I am in receipt of a telegram from our A.G.T.M., W. H. Holcomb, requesting me to advise you that all the private cars belonging to the Union Pacific System are in use and will be for sometime to come. Mr. Holcomb requests me to express his regrets at not be- ing able to carry out his promise to the effect that one of the private cars, belonging to the Co. would be placed at your disposal for your contemplated trip south. Changes, not anticipated, have occurred on our Line which, no doubt, have interferred with Mr. Holcomb being able to make his promise good.
