25 We called upon Mr Towne General Manager
of the Central Pacific Rail Road He gave us passes
to Ogden we called at the club to see Capt
McDonald He was not in, we then took cars
& went to A Badlams & took Dinner then
Returned to the palace settled our Bill & took cars
for Ogden

Letter from Charles Oscar Dunn, 25 June 1891

Millville President. Woodruf Salt Lake City Dear Bro having been informed by Presi Orsen Smith that my name had been sent to you, & had been excepted, as bishop of west Millville, I thought I would like to have your advice on the matter. After explaining my circumstance I have spent one turm in the pen. I am considerably involved one of my families lives in a rented House the land in west Millville sels. from 40 & 45 dolars per acre and I am not able to buy with out selling my small farm in this ward which I would half to sell at a grate loss

Letter from George Teasdale, 25 June 1891

Colonia Diaz, President Wilford Woodruff, and Council. Beloved Brethren: I have just returned from a visit to Colonia Juarez, and Doublan. I regret to have to report the death of two of our promising young people, Parley E and Aruurelia, familiarly called Ede, Pratt the son and daughter of Helaman and Victoria Pratt. Parley E was buried on Tuesday, June 16th, and Ede on Sunday June 21st. She died of Diptheria, and Parley of Pneumonia. It has been a sad blow for Bro. and Sister Pratt. They are living at the mouth of the Kanyon going to Pacheco, some twelve miles from Colonia Juarez, and it seems imposible to tell how they could be affected with this throat disease. They were young people or singular promise, beloved by their parents and by all who knew them. There was a feeling of sorrow at Colonia Juarez all sympathising with the bereaved parents, who are univer sally beloved. There is quite a spirit of improvement at Juarez. The addition to their meeting house is covered in, and the building is progressing favorably. Bp. Sevey is building a good brick residence, and his counsellor, Bro. Ernest Taylor, and Bro. James C. Petersen have similiar buildings going up. Juarez is the hansomest settlement we have. It is singular that when it was first proposed
