Dear Sir and Brother;
I trust you will pardon me for
addressing you upon a delicate private
matter and with which I would not
trouble you were it not that my hap-
piness and usefulness largely depend
on your favorable consideration of
what I am about to request of you.
I am in great need of a loan of
$2500, with which to meet some pressing
obligations, and for which I am willing
to pay interest either monthly ^or^ quarterly.
I do not propose however to pay out all
this money in this way, but I have an
opportunity for investment which will
bring me in an income sufficient to sup-
port my family, and gradually liquidate my
obligations till I am entirely out of debt. If
