Col. Isaac Trumbo, San Francisco. Dear Colonel: Your kind favor of the 24th is to hand. I thank you for it and the advice you have been good enough to give me in my contemplated visit to the Exposition; will say for your satisfaction, that I shall take with me the man (Mr. Smith) who waited upon me during my late sickness; and with his assistance, and my own ability to get around, I hope to be able to "do" the Fair perhaps as well as much younger men.
