Letter from Meliton Gonzalez Trejo, 9 October 1895
Salt Lake City. President Wilford Woodruff Dear Bro: I have regain my health again and I am ready to return to my mission and proceed on my labors if required. Apostle Brigham Young has not decided yet about the gathering place and I can not tell if he will do any more on it or not. This place is what is called Garcia's land in Chihuahua and its situation and facilities make it a very important place for that purpose if my information is correct. As Bro. Ivens has been appointed to preside over this mission and I will have to labor under his counsell and direction I will like to have this choice of location report to him as well as my subcecuent labors on land ^in order^ that we may worck in armony and with the aproval of the Preisthood. If this can not be accomplished I will prefer to be released from this worck, for it came very heavy on me to stand alone against all opostition and deficulties and it came very near breacking me down the past year, ^and^ my work and outfit is now left all over the

In accordance with your counsel and in accord with my own feelings, I have done all I could in an unofficial way to induce students of our faith to prosecute their studies in Theol- ogy at the College. A circumstance which caused considerable interfer- ence in this matter occurred in Sept. [18]94, when it was learned that the College authorities intended charging University students the full registration fee of $10.00 for admission to the Theological classes. This requirement was modified under your counsel, but I find upon en- quoiry that all University students except those of Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, and Senior, rank are still excluded from the cCollege classes un- less the fee is paid. The Principal of the College informs me that action to this effect was taken by the bBoard under the counxsel and with
