Day in the Life

Transcript

Happy Pioneer Day! On July 24, 1847, Wilford Woodruff wrote:

“On this important day after traveling from our encampment 6 miles through the deep ravine, valley, ending with the canyon through last creek we came in full view of the great valley or bason of the Salt Lake and land of promise held in reserve by the hand of GOD for a resting place for the Saints upon which a portion of the Zion of GOD will be built.”

The early Saints experienced a lot of hardships to help further the work of the Lord, and they were able to find peace for their perseverance and righteousness. How have you experienced peace for your good efforts? What are you doing to celebrate Pioneer Day today?
