On November 4th, 1855, Wilford Woodruff wrote in his journal, 

“I preached in great plainness to the people upon the subject of keeping the commandments of God. The spirit of the Lord rested upon me and we had a good meeting.”

President Monson adds his witness about keeping the commandments, “May we realize that our greatest happiness in this life will come as we follow God’s commandments and obey His laws!”

As we keep the commandments, we can have the spirit with us and be safe and protected.
