Daybook (9 May - 9 July 1838)
21st I rote a letter to the Saints upon the Islands
directed to Brother Nathaniel Thomas we dined
with Brother Foster & after taking the parting hand with
Elder O Pratt & family & the remainder of the Saints
in the city of New York Elder E Fordham acc-
ompanyed us to the north river & there parted
with Elder Ball & myself & we went on board
the Steam Boat ^foot of Murry Newburg peer^ Highlander bound for Newburg
at 5 oclock PM we past Stoney point lighthouse
& arived at Newburg at 9 oclock we tarried
on board during the night fare $0.75 distance 60 m[iles]
