October 19, 1845 ~ Sunday

19th ^Sunday^ [FIGURES] I recieved 3 letters & wrote 4
Elders Hardy and Holmes went on board
of the ship this morning. We recieved
A rumour this morning through the
Liverpool Papers that the mob was
raging in Hancock County had burned
from 70 to 300 Houses & that A proposition
had been made by the Twelve to the
citizens of Hancock that they would leave
the county as soon as they could have
time to dispose of therire property. these
are strange times we live in When will
the mob scease & the Saints livee in peace
I attended meeting in the Afternoon & preached
in the evening from the 102 Psalm

Mission - Herefordshire Conference Minutes, 14 September 1845
The Garway Conference met on the , there being present, 1 of the seventies, 3 elders, 4 priests, 1 teacher, and 1 deacon. There were represented 5 branches contain- ing 107 members. 3 elders, 8 priests, 3 teachers, and 1 deacon. 4 baptized since last conference. Instructions were given by elder Streets and others, and a good feeling prevailed throughout the conference. WILLIAM ALLEN, President. PHILLIP LINES, Clerk.
