October 11, 1846 ~ Sunday

11th Sunday a hard rainy day a herd of
about 2000 head of cattle was drove into
the encampment this morning and while the
rain poored down in torents I with many
others had to go into the midst of the herd
& seperate my cattle I was quite unwell
with the ague but got thoroughly drenched
with water I laboured hard in the rain
through the day
