May 24, 1848 ~ Wednesday

24th President Young went out to the horn to organize the
camp. H. C. Kimball O Hyde G. A. Smith spent a little
time with me in the afternoon I crossed the river
And returned. One of the Brethren up the Pigion Creek
was robed in open day light, was gaged tied to a tree
& robed of his oxen waggon money clothing &c some of the
robers were taken An arrow Judgment will overtake the wicked in
an hour they think not if they do not cease their wickedness

On the President Young went out to the Horn to organize the Camp and next day I took the parting hand of Brother Brigham and let him have 25 dollars to help him buy a yoke of cattle. On the following day I moved my family and effects over the river and stoped near the ferry. In company with Orson Hyde E. T. Benson
