Discourse 1855-05-22
Elder W Woodruff remarked that the President had an object in view in building, he did it on principle, his buildings like all his ways were substantial and good he never built 2 houses alike and never would in time nor eternity, we are independent of the Gentiles, we can build a good house. I am going to building this year. I have nothing else to do. If we go to work with our mights we can put up a good house, and be none the poorer. we find our President goes a head whatever he puts his hands to do he can accomplish it, if gentiles creep out let them go
