Letter from George Albert Smith, 1 August 1856

Benson arrived in Liverpool on Sunday night about 12 oclk that night of the 13th July. Franklin expected to sail from Liverpool on the 26th July in company with Elder Whelock J. A. Brothers Heywood Bernhisel and myself are well altho the weather has been so hot as to prostrate us considerably Congress spent the Day yesterday quarrelling about Kansas.
