Oct 25 I went to the Church stray pen to get a Durham Bull
calf which Brother let me have he had
never been halter broak & we put a lariet on his neck & he
nearly choaked to death before we could do any thing with
him he faught us with great force I got him
& shut him up & fed him I then assisted in cleaning
out four hog pens whare the Hogs was belly deep in mud
started to with my two yoke of oxen
& my loped horn heifer & one red calf left ear croped
