Discourse 1868-09-17
Elder W Woodruff related some of this ex- prience when the spirit of God alone sustained and di- rected him. There never was a time when the saints needed more of the spirit of the lord than at the present. The work of the saints is to prepare a place where Jesus can come and preside. After laboring for thirty years will we sell our birth right for a few goods? The Lord has kept His covenant with us and has come out of His hiding place. The nations are vexed by his fury. Many of the Elders and High Priests of thirty years standing will sustain the wicked in our midst. The spirit says let them alone from this hour.
