Discourse 1870-05-14
On Saturday
Theological Class met at the Tabernacle
at One oclock pm
Present Prest Geo. A. Smith presiding
After singing Prayer by Elder S. W. Richards Singing
Elder A P. Rockwood recommended a systematic
organized effort being made to destroy the Grasshoppers
unless it is done, he was satisfied there will be but
little raised this season.
Elder W. W. Woodruff said the best plan he had found
to destroy them was to get a large sheet, and a
man at each corner to drag it through the
grain, and when caught & bury them—it
certainly was their duty to make an organized
effort, and if after that is done, and the
Crops are destroyed, we shall have the satisfaction
of having done our duty.
