At Stake Priesthood Meeting ^held in St. George,^
Apostle Wilford Woodruff spoke, exhorting
the Bishops and other officers not to slacken
their efforts in the building of Temples. He
referred to the fact that a year ago the
Southern district owed some forty thousand
dollars on the building of St. George Temple.
He expressed satisfaction that the brethren
in charge were successfully liquidating this
debt.
He gave a detailed account
of the progress made in building the terraces
and making the levels, preparatory to erecting
the Temple at Manti. He felt anxious to
see the building of that Temple prosecuted,
and trusted that the Priesthood and Saints would
