Sept 7, 1881
I met in council today the case of the
Liquor in Brigham City was taken up and
the commit[tee] felt that they had nothing to do upon the
subjectch matters it was left to the Authoritites of Brigham
Cicty athe preside[nc]y felt that they ^had^ Enough
to do to attend to the Kingdom of God without
attending to the local affairs of the various towns
wards of the Church

To President Woodruff, Salt Lake City. My dear Brother; Brother Mc- Allister and myself arrived here at midnight of the 5th. Had a good time among the Saints at Pangwich and Kanab Conferences. Yesterday morning, as per an- nouncement, the Temple hands met in the Temple; 21 males 18 Females present; 4 males, 11 Females, Excused for cause and absent. After our meeting Baptisms were attended to: 139 Males 293 Females = 432. We have received the plan of the Engine & Eating House from Brother Wm. H. Folsom. His
