Dear Brother
Your letter of
Aprail 14 arrived last night which I was
very glad to get I am allways glad
to hear from any of the Elders of Isreal
who are Laboring in the y vineyard of
the Lord you speak about the difference
between my Labor & that of my time in
England yes this is quite a difference and
this is a cause for it all When I was in
England in 1840 I bought into the Church
in Harfordshire & [Iing] County 1800 souls
in Eight month Labors and I suppose this
is as many as all the Elders in England now
bring us in 2 or 3 years Oct of 600 of the
United Brethren with 45 preachers I baptized
all except one soul. I had all there chapels
& houses licensed for preaching in many hands
the first 30 days after my arrival and that
was the quickest work ever performed since the
Organization of the Church, Besides baptizing
