President John Taylor
Dear Brother
I recived
your vary kind & welcome letter of
March 26. I thank you for your
Blessing I am enjoying vary good
health at the presentt time. I am with
a kind friend Happy & comfortable
and suppled with all the necssaries
of life President Taylor my object in
writing at this time is this I at present
am shut up from the public where I
do not make any use of my tongue
in speaking to the people and I have
taken the liberty of putting down some of
my cogitations upon paper for the
Deseret News if they are suitable for
publication but I do not feel willing
to publish anything of that Nature
