Letter to Clara Martisha Woodruff Beebe, 17 November 1886
Salt Lake City, Utah, My Dear Clara, Our agony is over. We got a letter from you Last night, Dated the 8 and Mailed the 13 five days after it was written. Ma feels better this morning having received the Letter. I hope another week will not pass over without some one of you write to your Mother. Widow Carkings was buried Monday The old partriarch Wm Parkins is buried to day He has been Near the grave a good while your Mother & I keep our room mostly. We are expecting to go over the river to Atkins pond on Saturday and visit that family All is peace here as yet It is begining to be cold here Alice wanted me to write a little for her which I have done according to her wishes. I think she is Learning pertty well We are all as well as usual I see No one except 3 or 4 connected with us. Now we have No News to write not being in the News Country the News is all with you. Ovando wrote to your Mother He expresses a great Deal of Love for a good Lady in the Tannar Ward I expect you
