Letter from Edward Joseph Isaacson, 4 June 1889
President Wilford Woodruff Salt Lake City. Honored and beloved President! It is with a heart full of gratitude that I aknowledge the receit of your most va- luable and comforting letter of May 27th. I feel to give all the honor and praise to Abrahams God that your heart is filled with love towards my people, and that your eyes are opened to see the deliverence of Israel so nigh at hand. My daily prayer shall henefort be that the Lord may spare you to live to ^the^ day when your eyes shall beheld the redemption of God's ancient children. Our beloved brother George Q Cannon made me happy with his prophetic discourse
Letter to Brigham Young Jr., 4 June 1889
Elder Brigham Young, Dear Brother: In your favor of the 28th you ask the question, "Will you help the settlers at Ramah in their expenses in the court? It will come to that, no doubt; they will ask me that question." We sincerely hope that they will not be under the necessity of carrying their case into the courts; for our experience in this direction is very discouraging. We cannot expect justice, judging by the treatment that we have received in the past. With love to you and praying the Lord to bless you, I remain your brother, W Woodruff
