My Dear Brother:
Yours of 17th reached
me safely, but not until I returned
from Ogden, where I had been to give
Bonds to appear when called upon
before the District Court. I was busily
engaged with my Tithing Settlement
in an upper Chamber when I was
arrested. I believe it was all arranged
by the R. R. Co. & the Deps, for they had
sent me word that I must make
arrangements with them for the Right
of way through my land within ten
days, and that their agent would
call upon me, when the Dep came
