The Boys returned from Hunting Horses went to
Salt Lake did not find them. All caught a few
fish to day spent the Evening playing croque

Letter from Lorenzo Dowe Rudd, circa 9 July 1890
Recd President Woodruff Salt Lake City Dear Brother:- I wrote my Letter a few Days ago to you in haist - without qualifying. I will now make one or two corrections. [illegible] I had not a defrant spirit as some parts of my Letter would show. The Sum of it all is, I wish to give God all the Glory in the Discovery I had so straing ley made. Now, in stating unless this was made publick I would ^be^ punnished [&c &c]. I admit it would looked better wordid different & still had the same meaining, But then Brethren, I know & God knows I had no Rebellious desires, and I trust the time will soon come when my Brethren will become better acquainted with me, for my impr essions are, I am misunderstood now.
