The Boys returned from Hunting Horses went to
Salt Lake did not find them. All caught a few
fish to day spent the Evening playing croque

Salt Lake City President Wilford Woodruff Dear Brother, in answer to your communication the 7 of july I will say, I am Higly Honered in bieing Remembered by you as a mesanger of the Gospel and missionar to the United States (Chicago) I accept the call and Apresiate the same will arrange for the Start as early as possable say in first of Aug ore som date other missionay have Arranged So to be in Company your Brother in the Gospel G. Letter from Lorenzo Dowe Rudd, circa 9 July 1890
(Recd ) 1890 President Woodruff Salt Lake City Dear Brother: I wrote my Letter a few Days ago to you in haist, without Quallifying. I will now make one or two corrections. First, I had not a defiant spirit as some parts of my Letter would show. The Sum of it all is, I wish to give God all the Glory in the Discovery I had so straing ley made. Now, in stating unless this was made publick I would ^be^ punnished &c &c. I admit it would looked better wordid differnt & still had the same meaining. But then Brethren, I know & God Knows I had no Rebellious desires, and I trust the time will soon come when my Brethren will become better acquainted with me, for my impr essions are, I am misunderstood now.
