12. Sunday I spent the day in the House I am better
with the Exception of a sore head & knee

Cambridge, . Pres. Wilford Woodruff Salt Lake, Utah Dear Bro. Your letter of appoint- ment received, and to day we held our second meeting in pursuance of and ^in^ accord- ance with your instructions and exhortations which we greatly appreciate. There are eight of us at present: Joseph Jenson, John A. Widtsoe, George L. Swendsen, George F. Thatcher, George Thomas, Moses Davis, and Arthur Thomas. At present we are at work in the summer school here. As I shall have seven weeks after my summer course closes here before the regular session opens the 1st of Oct. I may go to Canada and obtain oboard in some respectable and cultured fFrench family of Que- bec in order to acquire greater fluency in speaking French. I learn that no certificates or credentials brought with me will exempt me from the entrance examinations
