Rexburg, Bingham Co., Idaho, President W. Woodruff Salt Lake City Dear Brother, Our Quarterly Stake Conference was held in Louisville Meeting House Sunday and Monday Aug. 16 and 17th. We had with us Prest. C. D. Fjeldsted who gave us some timely instructions and set apart several Brethren to the office of Seventies, there was a good attendance of the Saints at all the meetings and all had an enjoyable time. The health of the people is good and prospects are of an abundant harvest. There are 3 Bishops and several High Counselors requiring to be ordained in our Stake first time any of the Twelve come to visit us. With Kind Regards I remain Your Brother in the Gospel T E Ricks
Letter to the Temple President, 18 August 1891
To the President. of the Temple. Dear Brother: This will inform you that Sister Mary Ann Hyde has represented to me that her Father died before he heard the gospel, but her mother lived to embrace it. Notwithstanding this, her mother has been sealed to her husband, who did as stated, and now their children all desire to be sealed to them, and to have them adopted to the Prophet Joseph Smith; After hearing this matter I am disposed to give my consent for this work to be done, agreeable to the expressed desire of the children.
