21 A Hard snow storm in the morning [FIGURE] I received a Letter
from Sarah I met with the Saltair Board I also met with
the board of the Utah Telegraph line we had a good many
visitors to day I signed a guarantee for the sugar company
to Draw from the Deseret National Bank $25000

Salt Lake City Dear Brother—Your letter bearing date of Feb. 25th 93 is at hand, in reply will say that I am pleased that I am considered worthy to be sent out to preach the gospel. If it is thought by my brethren that I can do more good out in the world than at home, I willingly accept the mission and will do the best I can in my weakness, and will endeavour to shape my business so as to be ready at the time mentioned in your letter viz. Letter from Rood Orson Crutcher, 21 March 1893

Willard Woodruff Rev" Sir, Please pardon the presumtion I take in writing to you. For information I wish to ask you the following questions and hope you will consider them worthy of answer. 1st Are the plates exhumid by the prophet Joseph Smith and from which he translated the book of mormon in the possession of your church order at Utah. Salt Lake City. 2nd Did Joseph Smith introduce the order of polygamy into the church, and if so, did he practice the same by taking to himself more than one wife. 3rd Is there a material differince between the church of Christ of Latterday Saints, over which you have the honor to preside, and the one located at Lamony Iowa. 4th Has the order of christians last men- tioned any of the plates above refered to in their possession. Elder Orson Smith President Cache Stake: Dear Brother: The time^s^ for the Saints of your Stake to attend the Dedication Services in the Salt Lake Temple ^are^ designated as follows: 1st Division (1000 persons) Friday afternoon, Ap. 7th 2nd [Division] (500 including choir) Tues. Morning Ap 11th 3rd [Division] (1400 persons) Friday Morning, Ap 14th Total of 2,900 as reported by you. The South Gate and the West Gate of the Temple Block have been selected as the places of entrance for the services. Those who apply for admission should present themselves at 8 a.m. for the morning session, and 12:30 p.m. for the afternoon session, on the days designated, as they cannot be admitted on other days, nor at any other session than herein indicated. It will be necessary for each applicant to show his or her recommend to the Gatekeeper, in order to pass. The recom- mend will be taken up by a ticket man inside the gate. No per- son will be admitted without a recommend, on any occasion. You are expected to make the division of the people in your Stake in accordance with the figures herein given. This is important. The first presidency have instructed the saints generally to observe Saturday March twenty fifth as special fast day, to hold prayer meetings in every ward, heal up differences created by political and every other cause, confess short comings and freely forgive one another, divesting Lines to all Principal Points in Utah, Pioche, Nevada, and Paris, Idaho, READ THE NOTICE AT THE TOP.
