July 8, 1893
I spent this day at home I pruned grapes & raspburies
& tied them up in the forenoon I and my family were served
with a warrent on an Irigation ditch I put it into the
Hands of my Lawyiers Legrand Young & F D Richard

Sir. President Woodruff I would like to ask you if ^you^ will please give a little information. is it against the rules of the church for a lady to join a home Brass band. What is you Idea a bout it find stamp for reply. Yours truly James Gibbs There is no rule of the Church against a lady joining a Brass band, or string band or Choir. But is would be against the rules for the [bren] to act unseemley toward her. J. F. S.
