Utah has gone Republican with a great portion of
the United States Frank J Cannon is Elected the repre-
sentative of Congress instead of J L Rawlins I met
with the Twelve in the Temple

Keys crossed I met with the Utah Company on their business

Letter from William Moroni Palmer, 8 November 1894

To the Presidency C. J. C. of L. D. S. Dear Brethern, my Note you hold for $10000 and $1000 interest falls due on the 10th inst. I write to say I am exerting myself to the utmost to meet it. I have a house with 8 rooms good seller one lot and a half over two acres with a good baring archery, worth at least $100000 dollars I am offering for $50000 cash, but cannot get the money so far. I have offers of sheep at cash price also another offers cattle half down & half in one year with interest. I was offered $55000 by a methodest minister last summer, he wanted to start a school there, but I could not bring my concience to it. Could you take sheep at cash rates or cattle If not with the help of the Lord I will rais the money some way in a short time I believe. I owe just $50000 when I pay that I am free and will have my home here. Please answer at once and oblige your brother in the Gospel Wm M. Palmer If the church could take my property at Glenwood at $50000 ($20000 of it in cattle) and keep it untill times brighten up the money could be almost if not quite

Prest Wilford Woodruff Dear Brother There has been for some time past an effort to obain a divorce by [redacted text] [redacted text] from [redacted text] in the hands of the Bp Court of Hyrum, and now that a thorrough investigation has been had by that court. It does appear that it would be right and proper to grant it. [redacted text] [redacted text] has not lived with this woman for years and has not provided for her. He has married another woman by the law of the land and is living with her, for which he will be dealt with in due time.
