To the Presidency of the Church
of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints
Dear Brethren:
In reply to your last
comunication will say, that
I deem it my duty as a follower
of Christ to perform a mission
among the nations of the earth
and that I would like it very
much to be able to serve the
Lord our Master, but I am
sorry to inform you, that the
circumstances are not as favor-
able for my leaving to go on
a mission this fall or the
date named by you.
