Mon Dec 6th At the office this morning re[ceive]d a letter from M. & answered it.
busy at my meetings and went home at 430 pm.

minety years olde phebe A Snow My Dear Daughter I recieved your Letter And also Orions but I have seen him lines and I think that Brother Cannon has recieved a Letter from Mr Bancroft concerning and agreed to do whatever He could for him I am glad that you was some better when you wrote I do not know how Phebe Scholes is she has been visting out some I have not been able to get either of the other Girls in the coop yet, Brother Webber is a singler man to Deal with in such Matters I hope Phebe will soon be better so she can go to her school I Expect the family have a hard time to get along. Two of our Bretheren, Brother Lund & Hinisy are preparing for a Mission to Jorrusalom start on the 2nd of Jan 1898 to look out a gathering Place for the Saints in that Holy Land, Brother Hinsey thinks there is about 70 Members the church in Turkey & Jerrusalom

Pres: Wilford Woodruff: Salt Lake City—Utah Dear Bro: I am twenty three years of age, and un- maried. When I received my call as a Missionary to the Southern States; I sold my claim in the Teton Bason, in order to raise money to fill my calling: knowing that my father who has a large family, would not be able to assist me very much. I have received the most of my money, but if I have to be in Salt Lake City: on the 16th inst: I will not get it all in.
